Rob Mclean in Konami Glasgow Tournament action
Sunday 29th March 2009Although the prize pot isnt that great for this event there is far more at stake than just money; PES Rankings points. With Rob already nicely positioned at No.25 following his comeback at the start of the month a good performance here could propel him even further up the table.
The tournament is being played on PC and not Robs normal format of PS3 but he has plenty of experience under his belt from previous events to know just how to handle the pressure and make his mark. He has already qualified from the group stages with a goal difference of +25 and I am sure you will agree, that is some achievements.
Group Stage:
- 9 - 1 legendkiller79
- 9 - 0 Dr_Cornwallis
- 6 - 2 Keenan
- 6 - 2 C.Kenny
UPDATE 1: It seems that victory was not meant to be as Rob lost his first bracket game 3 - 2 after taking a 2 - 0 lead and therefore has been eliminated from the tournament. Unfortunate for him but I am sure the practice will have done him good in preparation for the next few weeks and various other LANs, Regardless, the points earned will move him further up the rankings so a big well done is still deserved.
